Anima Mundi Part of 'The Collective' at The House of St Barnabas

Samuel Bassett, Richard Nott, Sax Impey and Arthur Lanyon all feature in 'The Collective' an exhibition platform initiated and developed by Katie Heller at The House of St Barnabas, Soho Square, London. The exhibition opened on 7th July 2017.

Anima-Mundi were invited to curate the main Library Bar area of The House of St Barnabas'. The Library Bar is the primary focus of The House of St Barnabas where we were invited to exhibit works for a period of one year. As the home of conversation, sociability and stimulation, it is fitting that the art in this area reflects these qualities.  From the honesty of Samuel Bassett’s work, to the symbolism of Sax Impey’s atmospheric drawings to the rich contemplative complexity of Richard Nott's and Arthur Lanyon's painting, these pieces engage, inform and inspire, perfectly complimenting the flourishing cultural heart of the club

The Collective is a contemporary art programme, consisting of rotating exhibitions shown alongside a permanent collection. The House of St Barnabas’ embrace a spirit of collaboration and commitment to nurturing talent, through inviting artists, galleries and curators to collaborate. They have shown a range of work, including pieces by Damien Hirst, The Chapman Brothers, Tracey Emin, Roxy Walsh and Tom Gallant.
