Anima Mundi are proud to announce that almost £6000 has now been raised so far for Funding Neuro from our Limited Print Edition sales.

The donations have been made in loving and lasting memory of Daisy Brooks from Bures, Essex and Ethan Cass from Pendeen in Cornwall who tragically lost their lives to DIPG. Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, is an inoperable brain stem tumour which affects children, and currently has a 100% fatality rate following an extraordinarily traumatic decline.

Funding Neuro are pioneering research in to finding a cure for DIPG, but it has been said that if a cure can be found for DIPG, one of the toughest cancer’s to beat, then it would vastly improve the fight against all cancers. However their very specific advancements could also provide a direct cure and treatment for Parkinson’s disease, Motor Neurone disease, Alzheimers, Huntington's disease and Glioblastoma. Their research is in to finding successful drug combinations which penetrate the problematic 'blood brain barrier’ currently preventing treatment by using a series of micro-catheters, inserted into the affected area of the brain with the utmost care by sophisticated robots, allowing drugs to be slowly infused directly to the target area. They work with the NHS and other care providers, universities, government, industry, and philanthropists but are funded exclusively through donations, so are very much in need.
