“In a way this piece is similar to ‘Contemporary Painting’. The lack of depth, story and the narrative in contemporary culture, in particular painting, starves the witch and splinters the broom. The detail and authenticity that subjects need in order to exist within a story requires a deep appreciation for each. In essence perhaps painters have less time for them anymore I suppose.”
