Sax Impey 'Light Between Squall's' Acquired by The Five Star Sherborne Hotel Dubli
Sax Impey’s incredible large scale drawing “Light Between Squall’s’ has been acquired by the historic five star Sherborne Hotel in Dublin. The piece now sits pride of place in the 18th Century Adam Rooms, which were recently renovated by acclaimed interior designer Guy Oliver who selected the work, following previous placements of Impey works at the Connaught Hotel Mayfair, London.
Guy Oliver, is one of the countries leading interior designer and has designed a broad range of projects from listed country houses to the state rooms at Number 10 Downing Street, as well as yachts; aircraft; embassies; luxury hotels ; restaurants (for Hélène Darroze; René Redzepi and Simon Rogan); museum exhibitions (the Louvre and the Chateau de Versailles) as well as concerts (London Symphony Orchestra; L’Orchestre Lamoureux); events and parties.
‘Light Between Squalls’, a large scale work in charcoal on paper, took Impey 6 months of gruelling and intricate work to produce, following a sea voyage in the Bay of Biscay.
